闹市中的清净之地

以前也来过两次Boston。朋友带着去了著名的哈佛MIT宪法舰什么的。

上周吃了不该去的燕京饭店后的某一天。闲着没事儿就把车开到Boston Common的地下
停车场。停了车，走上地面，自西向东先后贯穿大草地和整个Public Garden，就见到
了这个。

    时近正午，正是到处车水马龙，万头攒动的时候。两个block外的Boylston大街上
，各种车辆正削尖了脑袋在几秒黄灯中挤过每个十字路口。而这里简直就跟热闹绝缘了
似的。除了时不常碰到几个散步遛狗或是跑步锻炼的人，根本就是你的世界。

    Unbelievable！

    大道边的建筑应该是民居。各绽芳华雍容华贵。忍不住在redfin上搜了一下。嘿嘿
，只要选择Boston，再把单价定到7百万以上，轻而易举就能找到这里的listing。

    很好奇到底是什么样的人住在这里。没有gated community，这么昂贵的地方，居
住人不怕意外吗？难道中国文化里常说的大隐隐于市的梦想就能这么“轻而易举”的在
这个异国他乡实现了。

古早味 (ForMoSa TaiPei)

古早味，是闽南人用来形容古旧的味道的一个词，也可以理解为“怀念的味道”。

Lexington,MA 的古早味餐馆。牛肉饼，咸酥鸡，蚵仔煎都挺好吃的。

只是个take out馆子。桌椅很简陋。根据严格的麻州规定，她们只能钻空子，搭几张简易桌子和折叠椅。餐具都是一次性的。

店长是位台湾女士。她好像对华人有点儿戒心。不过看到我家大大小小一堆开开心心的吃货也就放松了警惕。跟我们聊了起来。

她说老板是北京和上海人。原来有个台湾合伙人。后来有分歧就分道扬飚了。
说她们那里是好学区，从幼儿园/小学/中学到大学都是全国著名的。现在房价高。小黑屋都80万。看来老中真是在全美抬高房价的元凶。LOL

Travel on map

We are back from a short trip from Boston.

After dinner, I've grabbed Axi to my room.   With an iPad, I helped her to learn how to use map application to locate 4 places that we visited and how to find the drive direction between two of them.

It is quite amazing to see that she was excited about the map traveling experience.  One hour passed by quickly.
