Why do people live close to water?

Same as air and food, water is essential for lives on Earth.  As human beings, more than 70% of our body mass are water.  Without water, our lives can not last longer than a few days.  Consequently, people can not live far away from water.

On Earth, there are many water bodies, ponds, lakes, streams, rivers, seas, and oceans.  They can provide people with not only water but also food.
- Water is necessary for growing crops like wheat/rice/corn in fields.
- Fishes live in the water.
- Many animals choose to live close to water bodies as well.
For people living close to water bodies, there are various kinds of food to feed them and their families.

Children love playing with water.  So do adults.  There are numerous types of entertainments for people to enjoy their lives with water.  Fishing, boating, water skiiing, swimming, diving.  Even when water becomes ice in winter, people can enjoy skating and slate-riding.  It is so much fun. (Axi, you can write this.  However, it is not suggested.)

Before there is any car/train/airplane, boats was used to be an important option of transportation.  A big boat can load hundreds of sheeps/cows/pigs.  This is much more than the maximum load on any caravan or cart.  Therefore, people love to use boats to build sea/river ports and to transport goods from one port to another.  Using boat is so popular that when there is no river/sea, people carve out canals, man-made rivers.

Do you want to talk about bathroom?
