Where does guitar come from?

Have you ever curious about the origin of Guitar?

It is a variation from Oud, which is an Arabic music instrument.  The oldest Oud picture is ~5000 year's old.

There are 12 strings on Oud.  Do you know how many strings are there on Guitar?  How many frets?

Arabs live in the middle east and the oldest Oud picture was found in Syria.  Do you know where Syria is?

Well, Guitar is the Oud's offspring in the west.  Arabs had once occupied Spain about 1300 years ago.  There were a lot of great guitar masters from Spain.

One of the most amazing guitar piece is called Recuerdos de la Alhambra.  Here is a video of the music.  This piece was composed by a Spanish guitar master Francisco Tárrega.

Now, while Oud traveled to west, it also had a ride to the east.  Yes, it arrived in China many many years ago.  The Chinese offspring of Oud is 琵琶 (pi2 皮 pa0 趴)

There are only 4 strings on it and 25 frets.  How does 琵琶 sound like?
